Abaqus
Abaqus is software in the field of computer-Aided
Engineering (CAE). It is also known as Abaqus FEA, SIMULIA Abaqus FEA and ABAQUS.
Abaqus is software which provide solution for Finite Element Analysis and
Computer-Aided Engineering. Abaqus software available in 1978. Abaqus name and
logo centered on Abacus Calculation Tool.
Abaqus software is divided into five
main segment products:
Abaqus
is now acquired by Dassault System. Abaqus released Abaqus 6.14 on November
2014. Abaqus is developed by ABAQUS Inc. Abaqus is available for Windows and
Linux operating system. It is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit version.
Abaqus software use python language for scripting and customization. Abaqus CAE
use fox-toolkit in GUI development.

start, Abaqus software provide solution for Non-Linear problems, but software
is extended to material models range such as elastomeric material ability. Like
every CAE software which provide Finite Element Analysis consist of 3 steps: Pre-processing,
Processing and Post-processing.
- Pre-processing or modeling – it involves cad models, boundary conditions applied at cad model according to problem.
- Processing – it involve method used for solving FEM equations, monitoring solution and provide output file for solution.
- Post-processing – it involve generating report whole problem, image of charts, contours and tables and animation video.
Dassault
system also provide Abaqus software for CATIA for addition advanced simulation
capabilities.
Abaqus
CAE – Abaqus CAE has whole Abaqus environment which is used for modeling and
analysis of CAD model and visualize the result and also had module of Abaqus
Viewer. Abaqus Standard – Abaqus Standard is standard version of Abaqus
finite-Element Analyzer. Abaqus Explicit – Abaqus Explicit is special
Finite-Element Analyzer which solve highly Non-Linear problems with complex
contacts under loads. Abaqus CFD – Abaqus CFD offer complex and developed CFD
abilities to solve fluid dynamics problems. Abaqus Electromagnetic – Abaqus
Electromagnetic offers FEA electromagnetic abilities to solve complex
electromagnetic problems.
